The Julie G Nail Color in Tokyo Nights is a dark navy. The polish is super opaque, I only used one coat in my swatches. As dark polishes tend to do, Tokyo Nights did stain my nails a bit around the edges, so I would recommend some kind of base to be paired with it. XOX ♥
Price: $8.50 * Buy At: Target * Size: 0.5 fl oz The Essie Nail Lacquer in Stylenomics is a blackened green with no shimmer or glitter. The formula of Stylenomics is pretty close to the rest of the Essie polishes that I have. It is thin, but opaque and it dried quicker than the average polish. Although it has good color payoff, I wouldn't describe it as inky, as I tend to find with dark polishes like this one. On my nails is two coats of Stylenomics. XOX ♥
Price: $9 * Buy At: Ulta * Size: 0.5 fl oz Zoya Yuna described as a warm grey with copper and gold shimmer. It's a tough color to describe; the base is on the neutral side, but it definitely has a blue green tone as well. Yuna is a part of the Ignite collection for Fall 2014. Yuna has a thin and easy to apply formula and the glitter was easy to spread all over the nails. I used two coats of Yuna in the swatch photos. XOX ♥
Price: $8.50 * Buy At: Ulta * Size: 0.46 fl oz / 13.5 mL The Essie Nail Lacquer in Over The Edge is a metal looking dark gunmetal grey with micro shimmer. I absolutley love how this polish looks on the nails and I couldn't stop looking at it while it was on. It is very reflective, and while it's definitly not a foil, it has an almost metal look to it. Over The Edge applied very easily and had a quick dry time. I used two coats of Over The Edge in the swatches. XOX ♥
Price: $8 * Buy At: Orly's Website * Size: 0.6 fl oz The Orly Nail Lacquer in Royal Navy is a dark cobalt blue shimmer. Royal Navy has a great thin polish that gives the nails a very smooth appearance and is almost impossible to make apply streaky. Depending on how thick your coats are, Royal Navy is opaque with two or three coats. XOX ♥
Price: $10.50 * Buy At: Sephora * Size: 0.4 fl oz / 12 ml The Formula X for Sephora Nail Color in Orbit is a deep blue teal with a creme finish. The formula of this polish is amazing, I can really understand why so many people have been loving this nail polish line. Orbit has a thin formula that applies opaque and evenly to the nails. I easily could have left the polish with one coat, but two coats were used in the photos. XOX ♥
Price: $4.99 * Buy At: Target * Size: 0.5 fl oz The Limited Edition Revlon Nail Polish in Elusive is a sheer black base loaded with large and small blue-green glitter. In the swatches I left all the nails with the matte finish, and applied a glossy top coat to my ring finger. As I mentioned, the black base is sheer, which allows more of the gorgeous glitter to show through. The base evened out and was opaque with two coats and quickly dried to the matte finish, I prefer this polish with the matte finish, but you can always add a top coat if matte isn't your thing. XOX ♥
Price: $8 * Buy At: Ulta * Size: 15 mL / 0.5 fl oz Zoya is a dark navy creme from Zoya's Fall 2013 Cashmere Collection. I really like this color because it isn't too dark, but it's still a navy. Sailor even has the slightest bit of a purple tint on me. The formula of Sailor was very similar to Zoya Hunter. It's thin, but very opaque. Because of this, it's best to apply Sailor with medium to thick coats. Sailor wasn't patchy at all and had a really nice glossiness to it with two coats. XOX ♥
Price: $8 * Buy At: Ulta * Size: 0.5 fl oz / 15 mL Zoya Hunter is a deep forest green creme from Zoya's Fall 2013 Cashmere collection. Hunter was a thinner polish, but it still managed to be easily opaque in one coat. (I used 2 in the swatches just to make sure it was super opaque) The formula was really easy to work with and didn't leave uneven patches on the nails. XOX ♥
Price: $3.47 * Buy At: Walmart * Size: 0.31 fl oz / 9.17 mL I know it's not fall or winter yet, but I realized that I don't have a burgendy nail polish and thought it would be perfect for my skin tone when the colder months arrive. Cinna-snap is a dark color, but red enough to work with lighter skin colors. I think it's very flattering on people with more reddish skin, but it would still look flattering on neutral or yellow skin. Cinna-snap was nicely opaque and you could get away with one coat because it applies evenly and not streaky, but I used 2 to make sure the color was completly even & opaque. The brush on all Sally Hansen Insta-Dri polishes is one of those wide and flat. This makes painting the middle of your nails very quick & easy, but it makes it more difficult to get the sides of your nails without accidently getting the polish on your fingers, especially when using your non dominant hand to paint.
